Shoppe Manager (Full Time)

This person should reflect the values of Whirligig Popcorn Shoppe. He or she should have an entrepreneurial spirit, with an ownership mentality, and a passion for serving others (customer service).

Mission: We strive to provide premium popcorn, snacks, and gifts to our neighbors and honor God in all that we do.

Job Expectations:

  • Ensures all efforts are customer-focused.
  • Manages all aspects of Popcorn Shoppe, including the point of sale system, e-commerce, and the ability to analyze sales and trends.
  • Hires and Trains employees.
  • Helps create and follows approved procedures of production, packaging, pricing, and merchandising.
  • Responsible for completing the schedule and having shifts covered for all opening hours.
  • Work 42-47 hours per week (45 average).
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of products, merchandise, and supplies.
  • Maintains cash-handling procedures and policies.
  • Market research of competition and similar gift shops
  • Uses creativity to help create new seasonal recipes and flavors.
  • Managing the employees. Ensuring they meet standards and expectations.
  • Developing and following systems for daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the shop and the equipment.
  • Leads marketing efforts digitally and locally
  • Established weekly social media posts for promotions and specials.
  • Participate in Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Business activities, and use contacts to generate promotional ideas.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to be a part of community and local events on behalf of the Whirligig Popcorn Shoppe, including fundraisers and wholesale package sales.
  • Keeps website and mobile ordering platforms up to date. Uses digital technologies to maximize sales opportunities across the country.
  • Keeps Google and social media updated on any changes to hours and products.
  • Stay active and updated on popcorn/ snack / gift category for personal and business growth. (ie. Trade shows, industry updates…)

Store Associate Kernels (Part Time)

The Shoppe Associate will provide great customer service and perform daily operations, providing premium popcorn, snacks, and gifts to our neighbors. Person should be honest, trustworthy, reliable and shows respect to others.
